Social Media Connection

Overall Structure – This peer learning community is intended to be an ongoing technical assistance activity, launched in November 2013 and continuing as long as participants are interested and find the PLC useful. We will host monthly video conferences and keep notes that will be posted on a secure group website.  Agendas will be co-developed by participants and the PLC facilitators.  Participants may meet in smaller groups to discuss specific topics or issues.  The structure and flow of the PLC will change based on the phase of implementation.

The Formative Assessment Peer Learning Community sponsored by CEELO and ECTA will meet on the third Tuesday of each month from 2:00pm to 3:00pm Eastern. There will be no meeting in September. Stay tuned for additional information.

Webinar – Confidentiality Issues: Addressing Questions About Data Sharing Among Organizations.  This webinar discusses confidentiality issues surrounding sharing developmental screening data and/or putting these data or other sensitive child level data into a statewide databases. The Early Learning Challenge Technical Assistance Program’s Community of Practice on Developmental Screening hosted the webinar.

CEELO’s Shannon Riley-Ayers has prepared a report as a guide and framework to early childhood policymakers considering formative assessment, outlining issues for consideration in implementing formative assessment.This guide provides a practical roadmap for decision-makers by offering several key questions to consider in the process of selecting, supporting, and using data to inform and improve instruction.
