The National Institute for Early Education Research (NIEER) conducts and communicates research to support high-quality, effective early childhood education for all young children. Such education enhances their physical, cognitive, and social development, and subsequent success in school and later life.

The Institute offers independent, research-based advice and technical assistance to policymakers, journalists, researchers, and educators.

CCSSO

Council of Chief State School Officers

The Council of Chief State School Officers is a nonpartisan, nationwide, nonprofit organization of public officials who head departments of elementary and secondary education in the states, the District of Columbia, the Department of Defense Education Activity, and five U.S. extra-state jurisdictions. CCSSO provides leadership, advocacy, and technical assistance on major educational issues. The Council seeks member consensus on major educational issues and expresses their views to civic and professional organizations, federal agencies, Congress, and the public.

NAECS-SDE

National Association of Early Childhood Specialists in State Departments of Education

NAECS-SDE is the national organization for state education agency staff members with major responsibilities in the field of early childhood education, from infancy through the primary grades. The Association promotes high-quality services to young children and their families through improvement of instruction, curriculum, and administration of programs. Members of the Association have an opportunity to share ideas and to work together toward the solution of common problems.
